COUNSELOR ASSIGNMENTS
Students are assigned to a counselor based on their last name:
Please refer to the Departments page for specific counselors.


Parents are encouraged to call their child's counselor for any concerns.



ID CARDS, MEALTIME, SCHOOL FEES
All students are required to have a valid school I.D. School ID's are required for all meal purchases, library privileges and identification purposes. If you need an ID, please go to the Business Office to obtain a card.

To purchase meals at the cafeteria, all students must deposit money into their mealtime account. Please make all deposits are the Business Office or the cafeteria during specified times.

All students must pay for their school fees. This payment is collected at the Business Office. Check the section below for the specific amounts.

"MORNING BULLETIN"
Each morning the school bulletin is read on our school "TV" station at the beginning of the school day in all classrooms. This is your way to obtain important information.

2008- 2009 SCHOOL DUES:
Students may pay for their school dues beginning on Thursday, July 17th at the schedule pick up.

Class Fee Grades 9 - 11: $ 7.00
Class Fee Grade 12: $9.00
Graduation Fee $15.00 (Seniors Only)
Student Government Fee All grades $ 7.00
Yearbook $45.00 (Optional)
Athletic Book $25.00 (Optional)

P.E. uniforms will be sold and distributed at schedule pick up day.
Shirts: $4.00
Shorts: $7.00
If paying by check, please make checks payable to McKinley High School.

NEW MEAL PURCHASING PROCEDURE
In compliance with Federal regulations, a new meal purchasing program is in place. Students will need to use their new school ID to deposit money into their account.
To deposit money into their mealtime account, students need to go the Business Office or to the cafeteria before school and during morning recess. Cash and checks (payable to School Food Service) are accepted.
Students on free lunch status will not have to make a deposit for their first breakfast or lunch of the day.

NEW SCHOOL LUNCH PRICES !
Effective July 1, 2007, school meal prices will be:

Breakfast:
Regular student breakfast $0.35 No change
Reduced price student breakfast $0.20 No change
Price change:
Second and subsequent student breakfast $1.50 (increase of $1.15)
Adult breakfast $1.50 (increase of $0.25)

Lunch: Price change:
Regular student lunch $1.25 (increase $0.25)
Reduced price student lunch $0.20(no change)
Adult lunch $4.00 (increase of $1.00)
Second student entrée $1.25 new item
Second and subsequent student lunch $4.00 (increase of $3.00)



TUTORIAL SESSIONS
Tutoring sessions by National Honor Society members held before and after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the library. Math Club members hold sessions after school Mondays and Wednesdays in room A- 211.

HAWAII USA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
Open for business on Wednesdays. Open an account with only $5.00 and your social security card. Come to B-103.

STUDENT BUS PASSES
Students who live a mile or more from McKinley High School and meet one of the following conditions are eligible for student bus passes:
1. Receiving welfare assistance
2. Income qualification
3. Families with more than 3 children on artial subsidy
4. Familes affected by consolidation, grade transfer or department directed attendance
Complete the "Honolulu Mass Transit School Transportation Subsidy Application" form by providing the required information. Pick up application forms at and submit completed forms to the Business Office.
